Bird's Eye Farm

Ina has the same powerful, capacious build and tabletop line as her dam, Dime Piece (aka Chimi). It’s a pleasure to watch the mother-daughter pair out on pasture since they’re both so lovely on the move.

Ina freshened in January 2023 with a strong medial, excellent teat placement and easy-milking open orifices. She easily fed triplets, with plenty left for the humans. Ina earned her 5*M designation in 2023, following in some very milky matrilineal hoofsteps. We were thrilled to retain her gorgeous daughters Elena and Lizzo, who dream of being little 6*Ms one day.

Ina’s dam, Chimi, completed a 570-day extended lactation in 2023, peaking near four pounds per day, and easily earning her 4*M designation. (Filling a half-gallon jar with the day’s milk—from one little Nigie—is quite satisfying!) Ina has similar capacity, so we hope to milk her through for 2024-2025.

Ina also bears a striking resemblance to her paternal granddam, GCH Algedi Farm RB Ocean Flower 6*M *D EEEE 92. Ocean is a show ring and milk stand legend, and Ina inherited some of her granddam’s graceful angularity. Combine that with power and capacity from her dam’s genetics and you can see why Ina is such a lovely doe—and stellar producer!
